The “Ion Jet” is a fully electric EVTOL. unlike similar EVTOLs, it recharges itself using ion collectors situated on the top of the plane which is carbon/graphite/graphene-base to harvest electric energy from the ionosphere. According to the proof of concept by the Ion power group, reaching 130 feet above the ground at peak ion periods can generate a peak electrical power of 1.236kw. Globally, traffic congestion contributes to serious negative consequences regarding lost time, increased fuel consumption, higher emissions, and accidents. Road congestion accounts for 40% of global transportation pollution- 750 mill metric tons of CO2.
